Teacher: Music, Health & Phys. Ed, and Mathematics
Caitlin graduated from Queen’s University with Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees and has been teaching at KTS since the fall of 2013. She also teaches intermediate band classes to various schools in the Limestone board, and runs private music lessons after school hours.
Caitlin’s teaching revolves around fostering a growth mindset. She strives to equip her students with the tools they need in order to overcome any academic, social, or emotional obstacle they may face. By focusing on long-term success and accepting mistakes as part of the journey, students grow into independent and resilient individuals. Among her favorite things about KTS are the small class sizes which offer opportunities for individualized instruction and which help to create well-rounded musicians and athletes. She also adores the spontaneous singing that can be heard regularly in the hallways and playground.
Outside of school, Caitlin works as the head coach of minor soccer with the Kingston Clippers. She is also active in the world of dog rescue, fostering and advocating for pit bulls in Ontario. She regularly performs with various musical ensembles in the Kingston community.
